Arts and Business East Midlands : Arts and Business East Midlands helps business people support the arts and the arts inspire business people.

Arts Training Central : Arts Training Central is the regional training centre for the arts and creative industries in the East Midlands.

Business Link : Advice and support for starting up a business, finding finance and grants, taxes, returns and payrolls, employing people, health & safety, IT and e-commerce, sales and marketing, international trade and developing your business.

Centre for Creative Business : here to inspire, educate and equip creative industry management teams, to build more scalable, profitable and sustainable businesses.

Creative Launchpad : Tribal's Creative Launchpad is committed to the overall development of the creative and cultural sectors through the delivery of expert services to practitioners, partners, agencies and government bodies alike.

Derbyshire Chamber and Business Link (DCBL) : DCBL is part of a national network providing an impartial advice and information service to help companies grow and succeed.  Information is also available on the Chamber website www.derbyshirechamber.com information includes the grantnet database, proving information about grants that are available to business.

Designer Forum : Set up by East Midlands Textile Association (EMTEX) to support fashion and design business. The programme provides business and design support to designers, freelancers, companies, undergraduate and graduates in the East Midlands fashion and textiles industries.

East Midlands Incubation Network (EMIN) : a network helping entrepreneurs and innovators develop successful new businesses.

Focusing Creativity : a FREE support programme offering a series of five jargon free workshops, specialist mentoring and grant assistance.
run throughout Derbyshire, from Glossop in the North through to Derby and Swadlincote in the south.

Peak Directions : Peak Directions contains a vast amount of information and links to services that support enterprise amongst businesses and communities within the Peak District

Princes Trust : Offers support for people between 18 and 30, including a low interest loan of up to 4,000, marketing support and specialist advice, ongoing advice from a volunteer business mentor, networking opportunities and promotional opportunities.

Government Agencies

  Arts Council England : is the national development agency for the arts in England, distributing public money from Government and the National Lottery.

  EM Media : EM Media has both a strategic role in promoting the media and film industries and in supporting access, and a delivery role focusing on sustainable business growth.

 

Government Departments

The Creative Economy Programme : this programme from DCMS (Government Department for Culture Media and Sport) is the first step in Governments desire to make the UK the worlds creative hub. 

 

Networking Opportunities

Arts in the Peak  : offer a service, run by artists for artists that distributes news of events, funding and support to its members. It also aims to ensure that rural arts based enterprises have a voice in official strategies, polices and documents.

CIN
Creative Industries Network for Derby City and much of Derbyshire (Amber Valley, South Derbyshire, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash and High Peak). Their purpose is to provide their members with the support they need to grow their businesses. Membership is currently free. 

Design Factory
Design Factory Offers marketing and selling opportunities, marketing grants, a business start-up guide and one to one support for designer/makers and manufacturers based in the East Midlands.

Shoutout : Shoutout is designed to be the voice of the creative industries within the East Midlands. It provides resources, networking opportunities and powerful promotion for creative practitioners and businesses across the region.

The Greenhouse
The Greenhouse is a network for the creative industries sector in Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Newark & Sherwood and North East Derbyshire.  It is a free service providing access to support and to highlight to other sectors the wealth of creative services The Greenhouse areas have to offer.
