Amaretti Chamber Orchestra - Highly Recommended

World premiere of Nicholas Simpson's He was Despised, variations on a theme by Handel. Simpson has written three modern symphonies broadcast by the BBC; this entertaining piece portrays the life of the composer, Handel. Also Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, Corelli's Concerto Grosso and Tippett's Fantasia Concertante. -
Love's Mysteries: Mystical Poems, Songs & Dances

US poet and translator Jennifer Ferraro will share poems of the Sufi dervish-poets of Turkey translated in her book Quarreling with God: Mystic Rebel Poems of the Dervishes of Turkey (2007), as well as her own poems of love's mysteries, presented with frame drum, song and sacred dance. -
